Rattermann’s Vaporizer Use and Sales Reflect Major Rise in Demand
California-based Ratermann Manufacturing is a true leader when it comes to the supply of cryogenic and compressed gases, along with the equipment required to deploy them. The company holds an impressive product line that is currently 30,000 strong.
As a stockist and re-seller of FinnCo vaporizers, Ratterman serves customers not only in California but also across Texas, Nashville and the East Coast. In fact, its reach stretches throughout the entire country and the company is often asked to supply globally.
Demand for FinnCo products is increasing across many sectors – from laser cutting and brewing to space exploration and medical – as Lance Looper, Ratterman’s Cryogenic Sales Manager, explains.
“Ratermann holds stock all over the USA of the low pressure ambient vaporizers for bulk and microbulk installations,” says Lance. “This means we can provide a vaporizer in a timely manner as well as reduce the cost of freight to a customer location. Many of our installations consist of low pressure applications for manufacturing locations and for medical oxygen at hospitals.
“And we are currently working with FinnCo to build all-stainless pressure builders for microchip manufacturers in the electronics market, keeping the feed gas at its highest purity for extremely clean processing.
“Ratermann specializes in looking at the customer’s install requirements and having an engineered solution based on flow, designed for the customer. With the help of the FinnCo engineering team we create a liquid-to-gas pressure system to supply just the perfect amount of product to the customer.
“Beyond this, we provide microbulk tanks to the brewing and cannabis industries which need the highest standard of vaporizer as part of their manufacturing set up.
“We also deploy FinnCo vaporizers in welding applications for our microbulk tanks for other sectors. The FinnCo vaporizers help feed gas to the laser cutting equipment, where the cryogenic liquid that comes off the low pressure tanks are turned into gas to feed the laser cutting equipment.
“We are currently designing vaporizers with FinnCo to introduce to the hydrogen market. These are state-of-the-art designs that reach 1000 BAR of pressure for the vaporization of hydrogen. Included with these designs we are incorporating 100% x-ray and evaluation of welds to keep the industry safe.”
Many Industries, Many Vaporizers
“We’re seeing a real increase in demand for the full range of vaporizers,” says Lance. “Our stock levels are being built up to meet this demand across the States.”
Ratermann has a long history with FIBA Technologies, the company that formed FinnCo as a national vaporizer specialist.
“We have worked with them from our smaller vaporizers for liquid cylinders all the way up to high pressure vaporizers for pumping applications for our fill plant distributors,” says Lance. “And we look forward to teaming up with FinnCo for future designs for pressure build units, trailer mounted vaporizers and electric vaporizers for industry growth.”
